Pay me every kobo I'm owed,I've really endured - Samson Siasia to NFF

Speaking to Punch ,Siasia on Sunday corroborated the NFF statement of his contract having ended but demanded that his outstanding salary be paid him. He said,

“This is not really resignation; my contract was arranged to end with the Olympics. And so the contract has ended.
“What is very important is that I get every kobo that I am owed. I need the money now than ever and I believe I have really endured and I have been cooperative.”
The coach who just won the Olympic bronze in Rio this month did not however completely deny the resignation story that made the headlines by the weekend.
“I spoke with a reporter but I guess the one who are referring to was extracted from the interview I granted somebody else. What I was asked was my entire story at the Olympics and this included Atlanta camping.
“Of course a lot of things happened that I can’t be really happy about especially the way the team was portrayed. But that is over as my contract has also actually ended. What is left now is my cash and that is very, very important,” he said.
“But if you are asking about getting any letter, we have not received any and we don’t expect any. The usual deal is with the All Africa Games and then running through the Olympics and that is what he has completed. There is no immediate U23 competition and so he couldn’t have continued,” he said.

The Washington Post features Nigerian-born animator, Roye Okupe,

Screen Shot 2016-08-26 at 7.35.52 AM

Roye Okupe, and his comic book story – E.X.O: The Legend of Wale Williams – a super hero story set in futuristic Nigeria.
Okupe, now 31, arrived in the United States in 2002, attending George Washington University and earning a bachelors and master’s degree in computer science in 2007 and 2009. In between those degrees he took a class in animation at the Art Institute of Washington. After college, while working as a web developer for International Software Systems in Greenbelt, Md., Okupe was able to put together an eight-minute animated trailer featuring his first superhero creation, Wale Williams, a young, 20-something Nigerian who suits up in high-tech armor to become the African superhero E.X.O. (Endogenic Xoskeletal Ordnance).
Okupe shopped his trailer to distributors, television networks and investors for a year and got nowhere. One movie producer even told him that E.X.O. looked interesting, but he should think about changing the race of the character.
“That was a down period for me. I really had to dig into believing in myself that I could actually get this done,” Okupe told The Washington Post’s Comic Riffs. “Hearing that from someone who was in the [entertainment] industry, I almost took it for the gospel. But if you have a dream, it’s your responsibility to make it happen and then people will join the bandwagon once you start to get some recognition.

“Nollywood knows how to forget people,” she said.  This is one wrong that she feels is close to her heart and one wrong she feels she needs to do something about.
“I don’t know if I am one of the influential people around, there are ways people have touched my lives as well. I have met different people who have influenced my life positively . Nollywood knows how to forget people. In Hollywood, you see someone like Gabriella Union who is still relevant. These people started acting way before me. The fact that the stars we used to know are not as relevant as they used to be really hurts me. If I am in a good position to bring them back to create something and make the industry more competitive and fun, why won’t I do that? I have come to realise that working with the people who actually started the industry is way easier than working with the new generation. Not all but some.”
Remmy-Njoku, however, admitted that she would not be able to bring back all the old faces in Nollywood especially the likes of Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde  and Genevieve Nnaji because she can’t seem to afford them just yet.
“I pray someday I will be big enough to work with those big stars. I love them but I am not big enough yet,” she said.
Remmy-Njoku said motherhood had changed her, “I have added so much weight. If you get married, you start having kids and you get older but I won’t say it has slowed me down. I am growing at a good pace,” she added
