Yinka Saunders Escapes Jail After Defrauding Her Employer Of £17,000 For Luxury Wedding And Honeymoon In Seychelles

Yinka Saunders at PwC as a tax consultant, she stole £35,000 and served a jail sentence in 2007 when she was caught. She got another job after her jail sentences as a personal assistant at Insight Investments in June 2014 and was being paid £40,000-a-year.
On her second day on the new job, she started embezzling again, this time a total of £17,000 was stolen using her colleagues’ credit cards – most of this she spent on her wedding and a luxury honeymoon to Seychelles.
She was arrested at Heathrow airport on her way back from the honeymoon. She admitted to seven counts of fraud totalling £16,990, and was sentenced to 15 months’ imprisonment suspended for two years, with 200 hours of unpaid work.
But the Judge decided not to jail her because she had repaid the money and was retraining as a teacher.
He said:
“You have a singularly unimpressive record and you have already served a prison sentence some time ago.
You did not disclose your previous dishonesty to your employers, who were prepared to take you on as an administrative assistant on a good salary.
The fact is within days you were prepared to take advantage. You effectively defrauded others to the tune of £17,000, all of which has been paid back. That money was used to finance your wedding and the subsequent honeymoon.
You have now started working in a completely different environment. I hope they will never place you in a position of trust with anything to do with money.
These were serious offences but it appears you are turning your life around. If you continue to commit offences of dishonest of this nature you will eventually receive a very long sentence of imprisonment indeed.”

Make them come for our vote. It's a whole different strategy, but I think we need to hold our vote because I don't believe any of them." - Diddy

Sean 'Diddy' Coombs said Barack Obama has 'shortchanged' black voters and doesn't want the African-American community to automatically vote for Hillary Clinton.
He was on the show discussing the opening of his charter school in Harlem, New York City, but he quickly moved on to presidential politics.
up so much that as a community, we've got to hold our vote," Diddy says. "Don't pacify yourself; really revolutionize the game. Make them come for our vote. It's a whole different strategy, but I think we need to hold our vote because I don't believe any of them."
The 46-year-old  hopes  Hillary Clinton will start directly speaking to the black community and address real issues that effect us all.
Check it at the 4:15 mark below:

The rapper told Rev. Al Sharpton on MSNBC he wanted more done for 'his people', as he feels they put Obama in the White House.

He told Sharpton: 'My number one thing, though, to be honest, is black people. I feel like we put President Obama in the White House. When I look back, I just wanted more done for my people because that's the name of the game.

'This is politics. You put somebody in office you get in return the things that you care about for your communities. I think we got a little bit shortchanged.

'That's not knocking the President. There's a lot going on, he's done an excellent job, you know, but I think it's time to turn up the heat because the black vote is going to decide who is the next president of the United States.'

Harvard Graduate, Tunde Kehinde Set to Float Nigeria's First Online Bank..

Two entrepreneurs are set to unveil Nigeria’s first online lender in New York on Thursday.  Lidya will be based in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital, and offer small and medium-sized businesses unsecured loans of between $500 (N152,000) and $15,000 (N4.5million).

While it will initially focus on Nigerian customers, Lidya will target cities across Africa, according to Tunde Kehinde, a co-founder.

“There are no real products catered to these customers today,” Kehinde said by phone from New York, where he’ll announce the formation of Lidya at a financial technology conference. “What we’re trying to do is introduce a lot of technology, algorithms and machine learning to industrialize the credit assessment process.”

Kehinde, a Harvard Business School graduate, is a former managing director of Jumia, Nigeria’s biggest online retailer. He currently runs Africa Courier Express, a logistics company, along with Ercin Eksin, the other founder of Lidya.

While Kehinde and Eksin are the majority owners, they will look to bring in other shareholders and raise more than $1 million in the next few months from investors, primarily in the U.S., Eksin said.

Lidya will be opened next month and also partner with Nigerian banks to allow them to use it as a platform to target small businesses.

“Because of how the banks are set up, with bricks and mortar networks, they’re more inclined to service multinationals and large government institutions,” Kehinde said.

“Their cost structure isn’t favorable to servicing small businesses. Because we’re using technology and algorithms to assess the risk, it allows them to offer financial products to these customers at a low cost.”
